Myrtle Hydrolate is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of Myrtus communis.
It is an aromatic water that contains approximately 200 mg of aromatic molecules per liter of product, especially 1,8-Cineol and Alpha-pinene. Its pH at 20ºC varies between 4 and 5.5.
It has a fresh, herbal and slightly minty taste and smell.
Among its therapeutic properties we highlight: Mucolytic, Expectorant, Fluidifying, Antiseptic and ophthalmological decongestant and venous/lymphatic decongestant.
It can be used in respiratory conditions (sinusitis, bronchitis, rhinitis, asthma, cough with expectoration, etc.), eye infections and circulatory system disorders such as tired legs, telangiectasias and/or varicose veins.
In cosmetics its activity stands out as: astringent, antiseptic and deep cleanser. We will apply it on: oily skin, skin with acne, blackheads, acne, dull and lifeless skin and oily hair.
