Hypafix is an adhesive, free-sheet non-woven fabric for secure fixation. It is made from white polyester material and coated with hypoallergenic adhesive. Hypafix also provides complete coverage of the entire bandage, reducing the risk of contamination. Its excellent conformability simplifies configuration around joints and body contours to allow greater freedom of movement for the patient. The tape is permeable to air and moisture, helping to reduce the risk of maceration. Hypafix is also radiolucent, so it does not have to be removed for either radiotherapy or X-ray examinations.
